Connect your email

Wire up Outlook or Gmail so client email turns into tasks, attachments file to the right customer, and your automated emails send from your own mailbox — never from Dax.

What connecting does

Once connected, Dax watches your inbox for real insurance email and turns each message into an assigned task, files matching attachments to the right customer, and sends your agency’s birthday, anniversary, and renewal emails from your address. Every agent connects their own mailbox — there is no shared account.

Connect it

1

Open Settings → Integrations

Each agent connects their own inbox. In Dax, open Settings and find the Outlook / Microsoft 365 and Gmail / Google Workspace cards under Integrations.
2

Click Connect and authorize

Choose Connect Outlook or Connect Gmail, sign in with your work email, and approve the permissions. Dax requests read access (to turn email into tasks) and send access (to send your automated emails from your mailbox) — nothing else.
3

Pick what becomes a task

Set the filter to Only people in my book (recommended) or Anyone. Bulk and newsletter mail is always skipped, and the AI only creates a task for a genuine service request.

If you connected before sending was added

Sending needs an extra permission. If your Connect button predates it, simply disconnect and reconnect once to grant it — new connections get it automatically.

What you need

Nothing but your own mailbox. Dax handles the OAuth connection; you never paste an API key. Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 accounts are both supported, and your credentials are stored encrypted and never shared across agencies.
